Calkara - Branding & Packaging

If you’ve owned a pair of flats, then you KNOW how stinky they can get! Calkara is the one and only flat with a removable and washable sole insert. Made with a breathable mesh fabric, Calkara shoe inserts resist trapped bacteria and odors, leaving you fragrant and refreshed!

This concept, logo, and package design was created by myself from a class prompt to create a new and innovative shoe company. I created the die cut, designed the exterior, and constructed the box from scratch.

(The logo is both a flower and a set of feet)

I drew from Maori influence for the company name and patterns on the side of the box. I wanted the owner to be a self-made businesswoman who brought her Maori cultural roots to the brand.
